Kevin Dario Patino Sosa

Kevin received his B.Eng. degree in Electronics Engineering and his Ms.c degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá, Colombia, in 2014 and 2021 respectively. He joined PSyLab in September 2021 and currently is a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Washington. Kevin worked in the Neuromodulation Research Center(NMRC) at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, from 2018 to 2020, where he developed a Brain-computer interface allowing the execution of real-time closed-loop stimulation algorithms in in-vitro and in-vivo models. Kevin worked from 2015 to 2018 in Miami-based startup MATRIX Labs and was part of the team that developed MATRIX platforms. He is passionate about signal processing and computer architecture applied in neuro-engineering and speech recognition systems. Kevin's current research at psylab is the development of domain-specific processors and architectures for neural engineering applications.
